Is that anyway to treat a brand new motorcycle? Lucky for Mike he purchased the Ultra Classic Amphibious Harley Davidson model.
The quartet toured the 90 mile loop in Big Bend National Park. This mountain formation is called Mule Horn Mountain. Have you ever seen horns on a mule?

Fred and Ron were so excited to reach Santa Elena Canyon. Within the canyon is the Rio Grande River basin.
The cliff walls of the Santa Elena Canyon rise vertically almost 1,000 feet. That's Mike in the foreground of the canyon walls. Kind of makes him look shorter than usual...doesn't it?
Mike, Stu and Fred in front of the Rio Grande River. The mountains on the left side of the photo are in Mexico. To the right of the river, Texas. This was their view on the way out of the Big Bend National Park.
After leaving the national park the guys rode westbound approximately 60 miles along border road Texas State Route 107. They camp upon the Big Bend Ranch State Park.
They reached the Study Butte Store where they finally had cellular telephone service.
Mike and Fred take a break at the Study Butte Store.
Wild horses in Big Bend Ranch State Park. Behind the waterway line is Mexico, the horses are in Texas! The terrain is becoming desert like with long desolate stretches. The weather continues to be very hot. Having reached El Paso, Texas the motorcycles will go into a local Harley Davidson dealer for routine service. The quadruplets have traveled 408 miles today. Now the boys are several days ahead of schedule.
Bonnie's Girl Scout troop once camped in the Big Bend Ranch State Park. It took a long time just to drive into town for dinner! Once we followed a sign that said there were hot springs to relax in, but when we got there, it was like a big "hot tub," made from a big aluminum horse trough. Crazy part of Texas!
ReplyDeleteSo I vote they keep it up so they're in Yellowstone for the weekend so I can see them!! WINK WINK!
